Earlier this week George Lucas "dropped the bomb". Lucasarts is being acquired by the Walt Disney company. Disney payed slightly over 4 billon dollars for the whole thing.
They also announced that "Star Wars Episode 7 is targeted for release in 2015, with more feature films expected to continue the Star Wars saga and grow the franchise well into the future".

What is ep. 7 going to be about? The threat to the New Republic by the Chiss Grand Admiral Thrawn? Or something else?

The Thrawn trilogy is great, but it sounds like the next trilogy will be about luke's kids. I've read heir to the empire, hand of thrawn and Outbound flight, are there any other Thrawn books? The only other one I've read is Death Star, that was pretty good too
